Can you give a special Christmas gift this year that will help community members build water tanks in Kibirashi, Tanzania?
Your donation this year would continue to make a huge difference to the Maasai of Kibirashi. You can donate directly and securely on this website on our donations page. If you wish to donate as gift in the name of someone else, please also send us the name and address [click here to send the information]. We will send a special Kesho Trust certificate acknowledging your gift.
Construction of water tanks has begun now thanks to the contributions of many of you and support that has been awarded to our partner organization, Ereto Maasai Youth [EMAYO] by the United Nations Development Program.
Please accept our heartfelt thanks for the generous support we received over the past year. Your contributions have made possible the following activities in 2008 as the Kesho Trust has been making good progress in Tanzania.
Monica Karumbe, pictured above, is a member of the Ereto Maasai Youth and is a Community Outreach staff member for the water project in Kibirashi. This picture was taken at the project planning workshop in June, 2008
Your donations have also supported us sending a volunteer [Brent Liddle] to work with our partner, the West Lunga Trust in Zambia. We are working to support ecotourism development and training for the local people there as an expansion to the economic base of their communities. Brent retuned from Zambia a couple of weeks ago and is keen to follow up on future stages of the work. We introduced Brent to you in our last newsletter [click here] and we will continue to update you on our efforts in this initiative in newsletters to follow. Brent's photo above is of Headman David Sakafumba Luapula and his family.
We will continue to keep you up to date on our activities as the year unfolds.
Thanks for your ongoing support and very best wishes for 2009.
